When it's peach season, we make peach salsa! There is no doubt that salsa is a crowd favorite. This peach salsa recipe offers up a sweeter, seasonal variation than the more savory salsas we all know and love. But don't let the peaches fool you; they pair wonderfully with the acidic flavors derived from the onions, peppers and lime juice. Peach salsa is the perfect Summer sharable. Just give it a try and see for yourself!

If you're lucky enough to own your own peach tree, recipes such as this peach salsa or these peach streusal muffins are a great way to enjoy the harvest. But lucky for us that don't own a peach tree, fresh peaches can be easily found in the produce section of our grocery stores at a very low cost. To keeps things easy for this recipe, we will be utilizing canned peaches. So even when peach season is long gone, you can still enjoy a bowl o peach salsa with your favorite people.
Not only can you serve up peach salsa on its own with tortilla chips, it can also be used as a topping to elevate rice, chicken, pork chop or fish dishes. Delicious!

How to make Peach Salsa
Peach Salsa Ingredients:
- 1 15.25 oz. can of peaches (approximately 1 cup), cubed, drained with juice reserved: Using canned peaches makes this recipe as easy as possible. Use fresh peaches if you prefer. Just remove the peach skins and center pit.
- ½ red onion, diced: Red onion offers an extra punch of flavor. White or sweet yellow onions can be used as substitutes.
- 2 mini sweet peppers, diced, stems and seeds removed: Your favorite type of peppers can be used as a substitute.
- Lime juice from a ¼ of a lime (approximately 1 tablespoon): If you don't have fresh limes on hand, use bottled lime juice instead.
- ⅛ teaspoon of Tajin Seasoning: A unique blend of chili peppers, lime & sea salt.
- Salt to taste
Peach Salsa Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, lightly mix the peaches, red onion and sweet peppers together with a spoon or spatula.
- Add in the lime juice, Tajin Seasoning and salt. Lightly mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated throughout the mixture.
- Chill in the refrigerator or serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Storing Salsa
Salsa can be made and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator the day before serving. The peach juices will settle and puddle a bit, so give the salsa a stir before setting out for everyone to enjoy. I recommend enjoying the salsa within a couple of days for the best flavor and texture.
